As each bigger cities, Dubrovnik has also its own stunning and memorable Christmas fair which attracts both local inhabitants and foreign visitors each year. The fair is held in the beautiful atrium of the Convent of St. Claire or Sponza Palace and on the streets and markets. Dubrovnik's Christmas market began on December 6th, which is recognized as St. Nicholas Day in Croatia and finished on January 8th, 2017.

There are numerous reasons why Dubrovnik Christmas market is so attractive. The first one is the Old City Setting. Undeniable charm of the Old City can be experienced in a completely different atmosphere - the atmosphere of the Christmas time. Colourful decoration, lights, excited sounds of talks, carols, smiling faces create special ambience. All these staff including flurries of fake snow from the Bell Tower, the Christmas Eve midnight mass at the Cathedral, and a live nativity is the another reason why Christmas Market in Dubrovnik is worth seeing. The next one is the traditional food and handicrafts.
